More about the campaign

Every year thousands of people lose loved ones overseas. The decision to bring them home is taken at a time of grief and despair. On the back of this there are often huge costs attached. These costs normally have to be met by the families, their insurers or the employers of the deceased. The BRITs aims to make these costs lower and more transparent.

The pricing is based on the outdated IATA structure that many airlines continue to use for human remains, but are willing to adapt for commercial shipments.

Having negotiated preferential repatriation rates with many airlines on outbound services from the UK, Key Air & Sea has formed the BRITs campaign to push for similar rates for inbound services to the UK.

By enlisting the support of UK and overseas funeral directors, airline staff, insurance companies and particularly of employers who have representatives working away from home, we intend to address the current inequality. Please show your support and register.
